connecting good country to new opportunities

Australia is entering a new era of land management.
Carbon markets. Natural capital. Regenerative agriculture. Environmental markets. Renewable projects. Biodiversity.
At Good Country, our mission is helping Australian farmers, private landholders and managers navigate the changing landscape. Through independent conversations and practical insights, Good Country aims to make complex topics simple and help landholders make decisions that are good for both their country and their business.
From regenerative agriculture and conservation to carbon credits, nature repair and renewables, we bring together useful information and different perspectives to help people understand their options.
Not advocacy. Not politics. Just realistic, useful conversations with the people doing the work.

Connecting good country to new opportunities.
About Good Country
Around 60% of Australia's land is privately owned or managed. The future of our landscapes will largely be shaped by the decisions made by the people who care for them.
Across Australia, landholders are looking for practical ways to strengthen the resilience of their properties, diversify their income, improve the condition of their land and leave a legacy for future generations. For many, that involves restoring native vegetation, supporting biodiversity and exploring emerging environmental markets.
At the same time, these opportunities can be difficult to navigate. There are new markets, new regulations, evolving methodologies and long-term commitments to consider. Many landholders are weighing up the potential benefits and incentives while also asking an important question: how do I know this is the right decision for my property?
Good Country exists to help answer that question.
Through independent conversations with farmers, land managers, experts, Traditional Owners, policy makers and industry leaders, we explore the opportunities, risks and responsibilities shaping the future of Australian landscapes. We believe productive agriculture and environmental stewardship are not competing goals - they are increasingly part of the same conversation.
Our role isn't to tell people what they should do. It's to provide trusted, balanced information so landholders can make confident decisions that are right for their land, their business and the generations that follow.
Whether that means participating in carbon or biodiversity markets, improving landscape health, or choosing not to engage, Good Country is here to help people understand the options and make informed decisions with confidence.

Imogen Brennan
FOUNDER
Imogen is driven by the belief that knowledge is power. After more than a decade in international journalism, advising two Environment Ministers and working in corporate affairs, she left her corporate career to build Good Country, a concept she'd been thinking about for years.
Imogen has spent her career translating complex issues into simple, engaging stories and connecting people who don't always speak the same language. Good Country is about making information easier to understand while bridging the gap between city and country - bringing farmers, landholders, corporates, First Nations communities, conservationists and policymakers into the same conversation.
Good Country is her platform for bringing clarity to the complex systems and changes facing landholders today.
